Summer

It goes way to fast, but it is OH so FUN!
It started out with a parade that we were asked to be in by Krista Roder and Nicole Krueger of KristaRoderphotography.com They have been taking Jacob's pictures sense he was born. It was so sweet of them to ask and we had a blast!

Took lots of walks around the neighborhood
                                                      And enjoyed many of laughs!

What would summer be without a visit to Schorenberg's White Lake Beach Resort?

Oh and Jacob went in his very 1st bounce house!!

He then worked up the nerve to go down his very 1st bouncy slide...although mom did not.
He kept climbing and never looked back!
                                                             He LOVED it!!

After his day of first it was time for the 4th of July Fireworks
He got to drink pop which was a BIG treat, and still talks about it.
This little boy goes CRAZY for fireworks! The louder the better!
                                                                    A couple more 1st!
Jacob really liked the sparklers and did so well with them.
The other 1st was that Jacob has announced that he is a Booers fan. His Uncle Danny gave him this hat and he will not take it off...even though it does not even fit his head. Daddy is actually OK with this and I think just excited he is showing interest in baseball.

We have really made some great memories this summer....and we still have the month of August!!!

Jacob Turned 2!

I know I am totally skipping Christmas and I promise to back pedal and get to it, but this past weekend was Jacob's 2nd Birthday party and boy oh boy did he have fun! The Sesame St. theme was awesome and everyone seemed to really like the cakes I made and the decorations I put up. I owe a huge THANK YOU to my friend Nicole for helping me with some of the details. She made these amazing invites

And then also put together these signs for me to put next to some of the food we had out!

(a.k.a. SunFlower seeds!)

                                                            More party details to come!

Anderson's Pumpkin Patch

One of our favorite family traditions! Last year we took Jacob to the Anderson's pumpkin patch  and we loved it so much we went back again! Arick is friends with the owners son, so he always enjoys seeing them and saying HI. They have fantastic property, and great pumpkins! The best part is, they do not charge you for everything. I mean seriously people some of these pumpkin patches charge you just to enter.  Then another charge for a hay ride, haunted house, and then of course the pumpkins....geez that can add up! At the Anderson's you pay for your pumpkins and that is it!
Jacob just loved the ride on toy!

He was a little nervous when we first started moving, but then he realized the tractor was taking us.

Watching the tractor taking us out to the pumpkin patch was his favorite!

                                                                    HAPPY FALL!!

My camera hates my computer

I was so excited to get a new camera but now that my camera wont talk to my computer...what is the point of the camera if I can not get my pictures off of it? Before I get started let me tell you a little secret. I am cheap. I really avoid spending money if possible and I like to save, save, save. I feel like I can always refurbish and or fix. That rule applies to everyone but Jacob.  Gosh I love shopping for him.
OK back to the computer thing...
WE ARE GETTING A NEW LAPTOP THIS WEEKEND!!!!! WOOOT WOOOT!!!!

I have been having this problem for awhile with the camera/computer but I have put off talking to Arick about it because I did not want to spend the money. We have bigger things on our wish list and I felt like if I said something it would only push the other things back.
Tonight I caved and told him about the deals I found and his immediate response was. "Yea we can swing that. It's only money beautiful we will make more tomorrow. Plus whats the point of having our new camera if we can not even fully use it?"
I then listed every reason why we should not.  Maybe see what we can do to fix our 7 year old laptop (yes 7 years!), and I am sure we can find someone to get this ol' beaut running like new.
The conversation ended with a head shake and told me we are going to Best Buy on Sunday.
again....
WE ARE GETTING A NEW LAPTOP THIS WEEKEND!!!!! WOOOT! WOOOT!
\
I guess that is my first point but my 2nd point is that Arick and I are a great team. We really balance each other out and I am so thankful for that...for him...for us.

PS Did I mention WE ARE GETTING A NEW LAPTOP THIS WEEKEND?!!!!!!!

Have you ever had baby fever?

I have...I do! Baby fever is a funny thing. It really sneaks up on you and comes and goes like the wind. I currently would say I have it. I think it is due to a mixture of two things. 1.) Jacob is becoming so independant and I can hardly get my hands around him without him saying NO and pushing me away. 2.) My cousin and her husband are expecting their 1st baby any day now and I keep thinking about all the incredible things she is about to experience! JEALOUS.

Here is what cures my baby fever...thinking about having 2 KIDS! No lazy pregnancy days/weekends. Having to suck it up when I dont feel good rather then scheduling spa days and renting a crazy amount of movies. A toddler + pregnancy = NO THANK YOU (for now)
Until the next time I come across something like this in my picture files and I start ooohhhing and awwwwwing over the most wonderful time in our lives.
