Happy Fall Y'All!

I love that we start our Fall with Arick's Birthday!  Arick is not really 1 years old, but I totally spaced a candle and Jacob insisted we use one.  He also helped me frost it, and was so proud of his Daddy's Birthday cake!
                                         WARNING: Blurry, but cute picture!

This is our new pupy MAXIMUS BLUE! What a fantastic addition he has been to our family. LOVE

Jacob plays the drums on anything and everything,
so we had a family jam session with our leaf piles.

We had another great visit to the Anderson Pumpkin Patch!!
Jacob really liked picking out pumpkins for all of us including Max!
He was also so excited to have a seat on Mr. Ken's tractor. Seriously made his entire trip.
I think Arick and I had more fun carving the pumpkins this year. How cool are these new stencils they have. OK maybe not new to you but new to us! Really FuN!
Here is Jacob's pumpkin he brought home from his field trip to the pumpkin patch with his pre-school. Paired with a picture Arick's mom helped Jacob make in 2009. His little paws have grown so much, sad!

Summer

It goes way to fast, but it is OH so FUN!
It started out with a parade that we were asked to be in by Krista Roder and Nicole Krueger of KristaRoderphotography.com They have been taking Jacob's pictures sense he was born. It was so sweet of them to ask and we had a blast!

Took lots of walks around the neighborhood
                                                      And enjoyed many of laughs!

What would summer be without a visit to Schorenberg's White Lake Beach Resort?

Oh and Jacob went in his very 1st bounce house!!

He then worked up the nerve to go down his very 1st bouncy slide...although mom did not.
He kept climbing and never looked back!
                                                             He LOVED it!!

After his day of first it was time for the 4th of July Fireworks
He got to drink pop which was a BIG treat, and still talks about it.
This little boy goes CRAZY for fireworks! The louder the better!
                                                                    A couple more 1st!
Jacob really liked the sparklers and did so well with them.
The other 1st was that Jacob has announced that he is a Booers fan. His Uncle Danny gave him this hat and he will not take it off...even though it does not even fit his head. Daddy is actually OK with this and I think just excited he is showing interest in baseball.

We have really made some great memories this summer....and we still have the month of August!!!

40 Bags in 40 Days

So I first heard of this 40 bags thing from another blogger. She is catholic and for lent she is giving up "stuff" with 40 bags in 40 days. I LOVE IT! I want to give up stuff too! So I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for lent to come. Each day I ask Arick, When is lent again? Until one day when he was so sick of me asking he said, Why dont you do this clean up thing sooner? You are not catholic so you dont have to wait.
My first response was, but if I do it sooner what will I give up for lent? His respone, again you are NOT catholic so you do not have to give up anything.
OH YEA! Hmmm...why didint I think of this? I just thought participating in lent sounded fun. Dumb I know.
Anyway, I started my 40 bags in 40 days except I have a feeling it will be a lot more then 40 bags! Tonight I started with my clothes. I seriously have WAY to many clothes and I do not even wear half of them for the most part. I am so sick of my closet being FULL to the brim and clothes constantly falling off of the hangers. Seriously people I have 3 FULL sized closets of clothes. All of Aricks clothes are downstairs in the basement. I know that sounds awful but dont worry he prefers it.
I made my list of rooms that I am going to attack and each day I will work little by little.  I can not WAIT to take all of this "stuff" to Goodwill. The only exception I am making are with Jacob's clothes and toys. They are going in a rubbermaid bin in the basement.
I will post pictures of the before and afters. I was going to post the before pictures right now but I am SO embarrassed I just can not bring myself to do it. Not until I have an after picture to make it better. I dont know what happened to me. Normally I am so good with having things orderly, and minimal. This winter the JUNK just kept coming in and I would put it on a shelf or in a cabinet and think...I will just deal with that later. Later never came and now I am losing my head!

Alright so here is what I will be working on.

Bathroom cupboards and drawers

Jacob's closet and armoire

My closets

The kid cabinet

Tupperware cabinet

Bookshelf in the spare bedroom

Hall closet/linens, bath stuff, and games

WISH ME LUCK!!!

SNOW MG!

The snow is just crazy! Like crazy awesome! The drifts are giant, the hot cocoa is HOT, and the playing has been fun. Tomorrow will be back to reality and thats when the crazy awesome snow becomes crazy stupid snow. I never blogged about our trip to Jamaica (slacker!) but I should of. Thats what will get me through the drive into work tomorrow and that memory is what I clung to on Tuesday as I was walking out to my car. It was hard to remember as the snow and harsh cold wind was slapping me in the face! So tonight I thought I should maybe post some pictures of my amazing trip. The sun was just as warm as it appears...and I can not wait to go back.

Can you feel the warmth? Oh goodness it was paradise!

So this is what I think about on days like this.....
